ROCKVILLE, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 17, 2013--
Lansing, Michigan Mayor Virg Bernero and senior executives from Emergent
BioSolutions Inc. (NYSE:EBS) today held a ribbon cutting ceremony to
commemorate the formal opening of a new administration building at
Emergent’s Michigan campus. The 32,000 sq. ft. building marks the new
entrance to the company’s 12.5-acre site and symbolizes Emergent’s
commitment to its employees and to growth in the community.
“The addition of Building 63 represents our continued commitment to our
role as premier supplier of medical countermeasures as well as our
steady growth and investment in the Lansing community,” said Fuad
El-Hibri, executive chairman of the board, Emergent BioSolutions.

unique and a source of pride. What is truly most rewarding, however, is

Emergent employs over 850 employees across the globe, with more than 450
employees located in Lansing, where the company was founded 15 years
ago. The new building consists of office space, conference rooms,
collaboration spaces, and workout and dining facilities. The company
continues to make investments at the Lansing site, which have included a
new manufacturing building in 2006, a new testing facility in 2012 and
now a new administration building. Future expansion potentially includes
a new warehouse facility as well as a science building.
